Itinerary
- We will pass to Pick up you at 07:30 am from your Hotel, traveling Cusco to Santa Teresa Town, where our transfer is waiting for you and then you will enjoy a safety briefing on how to safely experience the zip line and a short but steep 20 minutes uphill climb, I find myself at the departure point for the first of six cables, spread out over 2,600 meters and crossing the gushing river below a heart- stopping four times. There is no doubt that this is a definite adrenaline-filled activity! Zip lining, for newbies, essentially involves hanging suspended from a cable 150 meters above the ground which you then sail across at speeds of up to 60km/hour… A thrilling ride!
- The adrenaline is pumping as I lift my legs and hover over the abyss below, trying to recall the instructions about how to slow down once I reach the other side. Paulino, my guide, releases me and I fly over the river below, heart pounding. The breathtakingly beautiful view of the surrounding mountains quickly distracts me from my fear as I marvel at the majestic peaks surrounding me.
- The group and I quickly grow more daring with the encouragement of the young, fun yet professional guides. The third cable sees me lying prostate in what is known as ‘Superman’ or ‘Condor’ style face down over the abyss with nothing but two cables separating me from the swollen river below. I arrive safely at the other side, legs trembling, smiling from the rush.
- Definitely not for the faint of heart, this activity offers a few hours of adrenaline packed action where you can push your fear of heights to the limit in an incredibly picturesque setting. Most definitely best of Santa Teresa town.
